How much is too much?
Manchester United have accepted a potential world record £80m bid from Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo. “United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player,” read a statement from the Old Trafford club. It added the decision came at the 24-year-old winger’s request after he “again expressed his desire to leave”.

In the current economic climate is this right? £80 million is an amount of money that i cannot even comprehend, an amount that could fix a whole lot of poverty etc etc! As much as i love football, this does not rest well with me. Issues with money rarely do.

It is seriously nutts! But i guess the amount is what draws attention to it.
Bring the same issue down a scale & how many of us use our money on things that are not really ‘that worth it’ compared to feeding hungry, clothing poor, bringing water to the thirsty or giving the Gospel to those who’ve never heard.
Real Madrid are using their money in an extortionate way, i guess the question falls back on us; how do we use ours regardless of the amount?

I bet Man City are pure racking their balls… especially after offering double the amount Real Madrid offered AC Milan and Manchester United! Ronaldo had to go and SAF knew that he had to let him go, he is a wee sulky twat who brought the Premier League down with his diving and what not.
But yeah its far too much money, about 10 years ago in 2000 the highest transfer was around 35 million then, but 80 million! Wow.
