Seems to me we — the Christian book trade and the wider church — let the side down big time with the SPCK debacle. I'm hoping and praying that we're not going to do the same again with STL/Authentic/Wesley Owen. OK, we're talking big, big money - but if we have the will, if we work together, there's no reason why we can't rescue this thing. So come on people: if you think a Christian presence on our high streets (as well as in our back streets) is a good thing, dig deep and join me in making a bid for a new, shared ownership company.
