A while ago i said i would begin telling you about the stuff listed in my “about” page……
First up on the list is Jesus
Jesus didn’t look anything like the picture above, or any other picture you have seen for that matter – his appearance is not important though!
You may hear lots about how Jesus wants to be your friend or your ‘homeboy.’ You may hear how his teaching is a good model for us to live by and that following him is the ‘best way’ to live. Maybe you have heard that if you ‘just believe’ in Him, you will escape Hell and spend eternity sitting on a cloud or in a heavenly mansion!
Unless you have heard that Jesus is Alive, you haven’t heard the full story.
For many people they will only hear about the Resurrection this weekend – for others, they have never heard about it. Some have heard about it & do not believe it, claiming to still be “Christian.” Other issues of doctrine & theology may divide us and draw different conclusions but this is real.
This is not negotiable!
This is the most important event in the history of our world – nothing else matters as much!
Growing up i heard more about Jesus dying for my sins but not enough about Him rising physically from that death.
I need to constantly be reminded of this fact, we all do and i hope that this Easter weekend you can truly experience the reality of Jesus being Alive right here, right now!
