In just over a week i will re-launch this blog. Hang on though, don’t expect flashing lights and a ribbon being cut by Steve Jobs, its just a new look and a new approach.
I will also, soon after, de-activate my Facebook account temporarily. I am not sure how long for, my initial thought is, at least until 2010. I am covering up my eyes, so to speak!
Its not as bad as that sounds but in essence that is what i am doing, taking a “time-out” and turning down the volume. I have already prepared for this by greatly reducing my “friends list” on Facebook. Why? Some of you are not friends, simple as that…….
“True friendship demands vulnerability. It requires that you re-arrange your schedule, and intentionally plan time to spend with other people with no agenda. It demands choice, as sociologists agree that it’s only possible to have eight to 12 “real” friends, and attempting to manage more relationships than that only ends in a series of casual acquaintances.”
H/T: my wife’s blog
Enough about that though!
I need to also mention the ad-space that has featured on my blog for a while. The consistent ad over the last year has been Integrity Music, which has been a pleasure to promote. They represent some great artists but the timing of a new blog and also my issues with CCM make it best that for now, ads get the boot! I need to sincerely thank Integrity and the team of great folks who set this up & gave me a chance to place an ad for them.
The idea of ad placement is not gone forever but i’d love a new way to do this for different people, so for now it is on the shelf! The truth is that for a while i got my head into a place where i thought i could make a lot of money from my blog, and for short time i made “some!” That was never the aim for my blog though………….
And there we have it………
stay tuned…
