Morning Song, a re-telling of a spiritual journey?

Hurt so bad
You don't come around here anymore

It's alright
If you finally stop caring
Just don't go and tell someone that does
'Cause even though I know there's hope in
Every morning song
I have to find that melody alone

Hurt so bad
More than I expected that it would
Worse than that
It seems to be lasting just a little
Longer than it should

I have to find that melody alone (I have to find that melody alone)
I have to sing the melody alone

I am grateful to the few people I know who help me to see the hope in every morning song and remind me that I don’t have to find or sing the melody alone.

I hear my own spiritual journey and struggles in this song. I see and hear the realisation that what we call community isn’t…

Community is not constructed by white middle class men and, don’t, whatever you do tell someone who’s on the inside and thinks all is well at the social club. I am talking about church and religion.

There’s still hope though.
