I’ve been semi-inspired recently to create abstract works. I haven’t quite got my feet out from under the table of detail and attempts at perfection just yet because I was wrestling with an abstract commission… which is odd because up until I was asked to create that work I hadn’t really felt like abstract was working well for me. The truth is that this commission which has taken well over a year with several failed attempts, has been a catalyst.

The image above is not like the work I’m referring to at all but, is an example of the kind of abstract work that reels my eyes in right now and convinces me to kick the table over and create.
